What We Do: Glorify God

Redemption Bible Church lives to glorify God by creating a family of maturing followers of Jesus Christ through worshiping together, equipping one another, and blessing our communities.

Worship

Worship is for an audience of one— God.

(John 4:23 – 24)

Our worshiping community focuses on lifting up the name of Jesus Christ to the glory of God the Father through the Holy Spirit.

Equip

Ministry is for every follower of Christ.

(1 Corinthians 12:4 – 26Ephesians 4:11 – 16)

Every Christian is a minister, fully empowered by the Holy Spirit as an instrument of Christ. The Spirit unites all believers into one living community and gifts each member with spiritual “tools” to build up one another in the faith. Only by sharing in one another’s life and working together can we grow individually and corporately.

Bless

Christ’s Church is to be a beneficial presence to all.

(Galatians 6:9 – 101 Peter 2:12)

Every Christian is a minister, fully empowered by the Holy Spirit as an ambassador of Christ. One of the marks of a disciple is living as a beneficial presence in the surrounding community. Serving others builds a platform for sharing the gospel and inviting them to join the family of faith. We want to bless our local community through service and evangelism, and bless our global communities through establishing and strengthening other churches.

What We Do: Glorify God

Redemption Bible Church lives to glorify God by creating a family of maturing followers of Jesus Christ through worshiping together, equipping one another, and blessing our communities.

We are a new body of believers gathering in the north Collin County area, and we’ve created this site to give you an idea of who we are.

Like many churches, we strive to “make disciples of all nations” and see the Great Commission fulfilled. Our method for sharing the Gospel comes from Ephesians 4:11-13 where all Christians, not just the “professionals,” are equipped for this noble task. For this reason, we call ourselves an “equipping church.”

Our Sunday mornings are designed primarily with the Christian believer in mind. Our worshiping community focuses on lifting up the name of Jesus Christ to the glory of God the Father and getting trained in God’s Word.

When we depart from our time together, each believer goes into his or her sphere of influence equipped to share the lifesaving Gospel message.

Now that you know about us, we hope you’ll consider letting us get to know you! Come worship with us this Sunday morning at 10:30 a.m. 1223 N. Alma Drive, Allen, TX  75013.

What We Believe

Scriptures

We believe that the Bible is not merely another book, but is God’s revelation to us of Himself. As such, we believe that “all scripture is God-breathed” and without error. We believe that the whole Bible is inspired, that “men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.” As such, the scriptures are the only authoritative and final source of information from and about God.

(Rom. 15:42 Tim. 3:162 Peter 1:21)

Man

We believe that man was originally created in the image of God, but through sin he lost his spiritual life, his relationship with God. That condition has been passed down to all men and women, so that no one has eternal life of his own effort or desire.

(Gen. 1:26; Gen. 2:15-17; Ps. 14:1-3; Jer. 17:9; Rom. 3:10-18; Eph. 2:1-3)

Salvation

We believe that salvation is only available through faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ. No one can enter into God’s presence by any means other than faith that Christ’s substitutionary death on the cross fully paid the penalty for sin.

(Matt. 26:28John 1:12John 3:7-18John 3:36John 5:24Rom. 5:6-92 Cor. 5:21Eph. 1:7Eph. 2:8-10Phil. 3:20-21Titus 3:5)

God

We believe that the Godhead eternally exists in three persons—the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit—and that these three are one God. They have the same nature, attributes, and perfections, and are worthy of the same homage, confidence, and obedience.

(Deut. 6:4Matt. 28:18-19Mark 12:29John 1:1Acts 5:3-42 Cor. 13:14Heb. 1:1-3Rev. 1:4-6)

Jesus Christ

We believe that as foretold in the Old Testament, the Son of God was born of a virgin, receiving a human body and sinless human nature, so that He could redeem the world. This God-man, Jesus Christ, voluntarily became the sacrificial Lamb, substituting His life for ours, so that through His death, he might be our Savior. Having conquered sin and death, He arose from the grave, was seen by witnesses, and ascended into heaven. History will climax with the return of the Lord Jesus Christ to earth to bring the whole world to the knowledge of God.

(Matt. 24:15-25:46Luke 1:30-35Luke 24:27John 1:14John 3:16John 5:39John 20:19-20Acts 1:1-111 Cor. 15:3-92 Cor. 5:14-15Heb. 4:151 Peter 3:18Rev. 19:11-16)

Prayer is fundamental and indispensable in all ministries and events.

God  All persons are warmly received and invited to participate in the mission of the  church, beginning locally and extending around the world.

The accurate teaching and relevant application of scripture is a focus at all levels of ministry.

God values authentic worship, which is His right. Biblical worship involves glorifying God by giving back to Him of our time, talents and treasures.

These are essential lifelines for a healthy, spiritually-alive community of believers.

There is an expectation that both ministry and relationships are done well. This will bring glory to God.

Their bond with Christ foremost and their bond in unity is a model for the body.

Spiritual growth, love for Christ and love for each other drives our ministry training and resources. Assessment of spiritual gifts and ministry passions is crucial for every member. The correct placement thereof within the body brings fulfillment and meaning in life.
